"Swan lake"
- classical ballet in 3 acts
Libretto and Choreographic Version-Revision: Lilia Sabitova (after Marius Petipa & Lev Ivanov).
Music: Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
This Original production of Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece is unique for its historical restoration of the original ideas, conceived by composer and incorporated, accordingly into ballet libretto (to the drastic contrasts to the Soviet and post-Soviet era productions now replicated over the world by state and independant ballet companies).
For the first time since its premiere in Moscow in 1877 current production restore the original order of the sequences in Tchaikovsky ‘s music score, (faitfully followed to the narrative line of the libretto), which, since Petipa’s version ammendments (1895), was deliberately discarded. (After Tchaikovsky’s dead in 1893 Marius Petipa and Riccardo Drigo, then a Music Director of the Bolshoi Theatre, used additional arrangements of Tchaikovsky’s piano music and incorporated this extras into original Swan Lake score in expense of the original music).
